Addressing an election campaign in Tamil Nadu on Sunday, Makkal Needhi Maiyam founder Kamal Haasan had said that India's first "extremist was a Hindu" referring to Nathuram Godse. While BJP, AIADMK, Shiv Sena condemned Haasan's remark, some asking for his tongue to be cut off; Haasan also found support from the Congress and Dravidar Kazhagam (DK) leaders.
